Bill Cooke worked on a tactical response team, where he participated in hostage rescue, high risk warrant service, and barricaded subject arrests. After working at the 9-11 World Trade Center site, he and a friend cut out crosses from the remaining steel structure, which they distributed to people who were involved in the rescue effort.
